This is a very great opportunity for organizations and students that are committed towards promoting measures that enhance peace in the world. With the memory of political violence, ethnic hatred, suffering especially by children and women, destruction of property and life lingering very fresh in my mind as a result of December 2007 presidential election in Kenya, this capacity building initiative for our organization Rural Integrated Community Organization will impart the relevant skills and knowledge to bring a positive change in the herats and minds of the community that we are serving. Peace and stability will be guaranteed not only in Busia District but also in its environs. People will enjoy their freedom and rights. Their will be development and security.

The major obstacle to our attending is funds. Our resources are limited. Incase we manage to get donation, definitely our coming will be guaranteed. For more information please use our e-mail address: rico.rico2001@yahoo.com. Warm regards.

This is an excellent service. I am interested to either attend or send one of our young facilitator. Our organization, Freedom Sustainable Livelihood Foundation is a new organization but our country has been under threat since political independence in 1975 of increasing disrespect for basic human rights of especiall women, children as well as general membership of our population. My question is: Is this course restricted to Canadian citizens and organizations? Thank you,

Many thanks for posting this Tim. I tend to believe that the role played by UNMIK and the OSCE could have been more constructive in this respect. Stronger emphasis ought to be rendered to the nature of the prevailing cultural intricacies, in addit...
