6-day course on peace operations

This in-depth look at the current and growing phenomenon of peace operations aims to provide participants with concepts and tools to understand and evaluate the process of contemporary peace-making missions, to study their transformation as well as the implicated actors and to analyze the debates surrounding the proposed reforms.

Among the topics covered:
• The U.N. doctrine on peacekeeping
• Implementing peace
• The use of force
• The responsibility to protect
• Regionalization of operations
• Multidimensional operations
