Hi Christine Quelch,

I am very happy with your reply and I am honored with your comments too. Well actually, when Aceh was in political and armed conflict, it was not very popular since Aceh was a restricted are for all people. Therefore, very few people could come to Aceh. But when the tsunami disaster hit Aceh, when hundred thousands of people died, included my wife and both my children, Aceh then known by many people in the world.

You know, I have an unforgettable experience with my fist traveling to Melbourne last June 2003. I was there for an international conference on the international perspective on peace and reconciliation . It was held at Melbourne University where more than 150 countries attended the conference. I got six amazing helps there. I have heard and learned about Tasmania before. but I never been there yet.

Any way, I am really happy to communicate with you

Best Regards

Hi Christine,

I wrote pages and pages on the topic of the double standard, but the moderator (Phillip James Walker) decided apparently to censor me and erased all my posts. Quite shocking. I'm talking to Craig Zelizer, the owner of the Peace and Collaborative Network to see if my posts can be restored. If they can, that will save me a lot of time to answer your question. If not, well... ask Mr. Walker why he decided to excise me.

Thank you for allowing me to be your friend. To be a ' friend ' , in my opinion, is a very high honor. It means trust and understanding. If I may, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. i am a UN Advisor of Global Education through the International Agency for Economic Development, an NGO of the UN. i have been to various countries other than Australia. From the oldest to the newest they are: China, Australia, Jordan, Siberia, England and Canada. I was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2008. If you go to my page you will see other things about me. But enough about me. You say that you are a librarian. That is an extremely rewarding occupation. What got you into the field of librarianship? Where do you feel the future of library science is going? I read somewhere that they are going to digitize, or try to digitize, every book in not only the Library of Congress but most of the biggest libraries in the world. As an educator, I see the benefits of doing that. For one, it will rid the need of buying textbooks for schools. All you would have to do is bring them up on the screen and use them. In terms of ' advocacy ', which is your primary skill, digitized books and documents would make it easier to work with instead of lugging masses of law books with you. What is your take on this?

Peace

Welcome aboard!!!

I see you live in Tasmania. How far from Hobart do you reside? I visited Australia in 2006. I participated in a ' People to People Ambassador Programs ' conference in Sydney. I eventually intend on visiting Tasmania...Just to see the ' Devil ' himself. But I heard they are very tame creatures unless provoked. Is that true?

Again...Welcome Aboard!!!

Sincerely,

Frank P.
