Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
International Bridges to Justice (www.ibj.org) is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization founded in 2000 that strives to protect due process and achieve fair trials for the accused throughout the world.

In countries where governmental commitment to human rights principles has, of yet, failed to meet its practical goal, IBJ fills the gap between human rights legislature and domestic implementation.

Currently operating in China, Vietnam and Cambodia, IBJ has just recently launched projects in Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Burundi. In response to urgent requests, we are also expanding initiatives to reach other parts of the world.

We envision a world without torture or unjust legal proceedings, and we work every day to achieve this end.

Dear Friends,

Several months ago, I submitted an application for the 2008 JusticeMakers Competition. In doing so, I joined a global community of legal aid lawyers, policemen, and NGO officers that had proposed solutions for curbing torture and legal abuse on a local level.

Last month, I received word that my application was one of a handful of proposals to be named a JusticeMakers Finalist. With your assistance, I now have a shot at winning $5,000 to implement my idea.

Here's how you can help.

1. Register for www.justicemakers.net.

2. Login and click "Browse Projects" on the left hand side of the page.

3. Browse or search for [waheed], my JusticeMakers username, and click on it.

4. Click on the orange "Rate Me" icon that appears on the top of the page.

5. Read a short summary of my proposal and rate my project. (Preferably with five stars.)

That's it! If, on November 13, I have the highest average rating of any project, I'll win the $5,000 to implement my project. :)

Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you in advance for your help.
