Profile Information

What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
As a child, growing up in communist Albania, I experienced oppression and humiliation. The communist authorities did not even allow me to go to high school. Education was perceived to be dangerous for certain people. This is perhaps one main reason that drives me to help people whose basic rights are denied. I pledged to myself that I would work on promoting peace and human rights around the world.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)

Dear Mithat,
I am coming to Washington DC on June 7; first 3-4 days I'll be there with my daughters, who then leave for two weeks for a study trip to Guatemala, and until 26th, when my wife arrives, I'll be alone with the she-dog collie - which means also that I can't travel outside for more than 7-8 hours.
Best regards,

Stephan
