Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Mohamed Sidique Dabo is very courageous, hard-working volunteer and young University leaders of the iEARN Program in Sierra Leone. Since joining the program in 2003, Mohamed has been able to share his knowledge and skills in information technology with young victims of war in Sierra Leone, as was amply demonstrated in a series of successful SUMMER SCHOOL COMPUTER TRAINING AND ICT PROGRAMS. Hundreds of schools going children as well as at-risk and young
war-victims were opportune to learn life skills that have forever
transformed their lives.
Mohamed is a B.A Hons. II student in the Department of Political Science, also holds a Diploma in Cultural Studies from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Apart from his effort at Summer School Training, he is part of the iEARN management team that coordinates the affairs of the ICT drop-in centre and also the Co-Director of the Student Movement for Real Change (SMRC) – Sierra Leone Chapter, also the Financial Secretary for African Peer Review Mechanism, an AU/NEPAD initiative – Fourah Bay College Campus.
Mohamed has represented iEARN Sierra Leone in many national workshops and conferences in the country and within the sub-region. He helped to coordinate iEARN students to participate fully at the Youth Employment Scheme (YES) organized by
the Ministry of Development and Economic Planning (MODEP) in Sierra
Leone November 2006, and was also a representative to the United
Nations Population Fund (Sierra Leone (UNFPA), launching of the
Booklet, 'Women in Migration- Moving Young' in October of 2006.
Mohamed's efforts with youths have proven fruitful in the enhancement of the centre. As a volunteer, he has also worked in partnership with several colleagues bringing youths together to discuss issues of global importance.
Whilst at iEARN, Mohamed S. Dabo has devoted himself to working in
various projects and implementing several successful ICT initiatives
with hundreds of youths and he is presently the Regional Youth Coordinator (iEARN - SL) in the country. He has a wealth of experience in youth issues and has worked with many youth groups especially the National Youth Award Scheme in Bo District.

Mohamed a native of Sierra Leone has been a member of the Fourah Bay College /University of Sierra Leone Student Union (SU) Council in the Ministry of Transport and Development for the 2006/07 academic year, where he served well as a Minister (SU). And also attended as Minister on the occasion of the conferment of an honorary degree of Doctorate to the former British Prime Minister – Tony Blair, for the latter’s role in the Sierra Leone crisis.

Mohamed was born in the Southern part of the country. Much to his
credit are a multiplicity of awards and various certificates gained
from his active involvement in many workshops and ICT training he has
attended with iEARN Sierra Leone and Peace Child International, TakingItGlobal (CLCWA) trying to sensitize the youths and community leaders in the prevention

Nice to learn of you, Mohamed.

See the Africa Peace and Conflict Network: africapeace.org & let me know if you ever wish to explore collaborations or submit work for publication peer review - we accept many types of material, incl multimedia, conference reports, practitioner reflections, book/film reviews, etc.
Also, APCN began planning for a symposium on gender-sensitive humanitarian and conflict operations, but the person organizing that has taken time off so that project is awaiting a new person to direct the planning. Refer anyone interested to me, please; if you know of any.
Best,
Mark Davidheiser
