What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
As a Quaker i have a commitement to nonviolence, however much of a struggle that is, so i wanted my work life to reflect that commitment and struggle. The quote by Robert Inchuati would articulate why i am involved:

'The evil the enemy may do never expresses all that he is.
Nonviolence is a wager, not so much on the goodness of humanity ~ as on its infinite complexity'.

Hi Sarah, presently I am engaged in a research on whether Bougainville peace agreement and Good Friday agreement can be models for resolving conflicts in Northeast India, particularly in Nagaland. Hope to get some input from you

Hi Sarah,

I'm currently doing an MA in Peace Studies at University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA). Together with some classmates we are working on a small assignment on peacebuilding in Nagaland. We are trying to learn who is doing what in terms of peacebuilding and what the major challenges are. It's not easy to find information on civil society organizations. Can you help us with some links or comments?

Best,

Dear Dr. Sarah,

I am very happy to hear about your programme and how serious human rights and justice issues were treated. Since I learn about human rights 15 years ago I have held on to it.

I equally discovered that the foundation for peace can only be achieved when the fundamental human rights of the people are respected and guaranteed. It is the bedrock of human existence on this our planet.

Cheers!
