Thank you for your note and your invitation. I am one of the founder members of a group by the name of Reconcile and Rebuild Sri Lanka. This is a group that was formed about 8 weeks ago, out of the emergency and needs on the ground in Sri Lanka. We are a group of moderate Tamils, Sinhalese, Muslims, Dutch Burghers, and other friends of Sri Lanka whose voices were drowned by those of extremists on both sides for too long. We have decided to not allow our moderate voices to be silenced any more, and to actively engage in meeting the needs of our people (all Sri Lankans) in the spirit of reconciliation and rebuilding.
