reaction to Obama's Afghanistan war speech

People here are very apprehensive of what Obama has in store for Pakistan. The only good thing is the mention of a time table for the exit to start. However, no date for the withdrawal has been mentioned. The general public wants the US to leave Afghanistan. The ant-American sentiments are high here. So much for an ally
talks in official circles. There is greater animosity in Pakistan now after Obama's speech.

The beauty of the night by Sohail Mahmood

The beauty of the night
The stillness
The darkness
The quietness
The beauty of the silence
The beauty of the night

No one here except you
Wherever I look I see you I feel you

Wherever
The silence of the night
You are there always
As if, waiting for me
I am there waiting for you
In the beauty of the night
Everything is so radiant
So still
So quiet

And, I feel your presence
In the darkness
When my soul cries out for you
Reach u somehow
In the beauty of the night

You like beauty
Because you are… Continue

The rain, the night and beyond to eternity by Sohail Mahmood

The rain drops falling on my body
The raindrops falling

I stretch my arms to receive them

Open my hands to catch them
Raindrops falling
Raindrops falling

After the scorching heat

The rain is so nice to have
So nice

Gentle raindrops falling on my face
I turn it upwards
To catch a few in my open mouth
What a blessing this rain
The raindrops falling on my body

The dark clouds
Like cotton in the sky
The dark clouds
Look so beautiful
The wind
The trees swaying in the wind
The clouds cover the h… Continue

Only you by Sohail Mahmood

Just thinking of you
Thinking of you
Only you
Only you

How I long to be with you
Just you u

No one else, just u
Thinking of you
Longing you wanting you
Just u
No one else, just you

Where are you?
You are nowhere
You are everywhere

Wherever I turn I see you
Where are you?

I cannot see you anywhere
You are everywhere

Just thinking of you

You are eternal
Beyond time and space
From ever
Till ever
From the beginning till the end
From the end till the beginning

Beyond time
And, beyond space

The pain of my heart by Sohail Mahmood

The pain of my heart
Missing u
U left the pain in my heart
Just the pain in my heart
Did not say good bye
Not even a good bye
Not even looked back
Just left
Just like that
To create a pain in my heart
Will never the same again
Never ever
The pain in my heart will not be removed
Never ever
U just left the pain in my heart

U left a gaping hole in my heart
In my soul
Just like that
Without looking back
Without even once looking back

Just left
Just like that
Not even saying good bye
We were so clo… Continue
