The Global Campaign for Peace Education has two goals:
1) to build public awareness and political support for the introduction of peace education into all spheres of education, and; 2) to promote the education of all teachers to teach for peace
Can peace education help to prevent the violent loss of life, such as we all witnessed recently at Ft. Hood? I believe that it is an essential piece of the puzzle. People offer various explanations regarding why a soldier murdered fellow soldiers....

- I am an Adj. Faculty at the Inst. for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason, in Arlington, VA. I am a teacher, advocate and policy analyst whose work has focused on policies for ending poverty, strengthening global security and peace education.

- I was honored to live and work in Zimbabwe for 6 months with the Peace Corps. I have also studied in Oxford, England. In addition, I did my dissertation field research in Paraguay, and helped to lead a global citizenship education program there.

- My current research includes the necessity of peace education in every school, as well as the impact of land privatization on indigenous communities in Paraguay (the dissertation). Consulting experience includes curriculum reform in developing/transitional countries, especially new democracies, teacher training, capacity building of the educational sector in developing nations, and instructional design.

Indicators of Peace
I've been thinking lately of definitions of peace, and how a particular community, nation, or school might know if they are making progress. In my review of the initiatives many school systems have made to create "peaceful schools", what many of them seem to mean is not what I would consider peaceful, but rather "safe". The First Day
First impressions can mean everything. Committed to establishing from day one that my classroom would be about exploring peace and peacebuilding, I decided to establish a "baseline" with a written response to the question of "What kinds of things do you think cause conflict or violence in our world and our communities?" as you know before few days at 27-2008 was day of assassination of Martyar of Democracy Benazair bhutto and we( Being a Sindhi) very gloomy thay day feel like orphan after one year on 27-2009 at annevesary .
I think i told you that Martyar of Democracy Benazair bhutto cousin is my aunty and after assination of Martyar of Democracy Benazair bhutto day and night we are debating and disscuss about her roll for democracy from 1978 to till death as politial lady and as thinker.
when she was youngest all Sindhi Love her like daughter, When you older all Sindhi love her like sister and when she came back at 18-2008 from nine year exile from Pakistan all over the Pakistan looking him like mature and bravest mother of Sindh/Pakistan..
