What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Always wanted to make a difference.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
Dr. Craig Zelizer is the Associate Director of the MA in Conflict Resolution within the Department of Government at Georgetown University. His areas of expertise include working with youth from violent conflict regions, civil society development and capacity building in transitional societies, program evaluation and design, conflict sensitivity and conflict mainstreaming, the connection between trauma and conflict, the role of the private sector in peacebuilding, and arts and peacebuilding. He has published several articles and recently co-edited Building Peace, Practical Reflections from the Field (Kumarian Press, 2009)
Dr. Zelizer has worked extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America and other regions of the world with diverse groups including civil society members, educators, youth, government officials, etc. To date he has worked in over 18 countries, helped trained hundreds of professionals in conflict resolution processes and skills, facilitated dialogues, conducted assessments/evaluations and applied research, taught university students.

He was one of the co-founders and a senior partner in the Alliance for Conflict Transformation, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to building peace through innovative research and practice. He has worked for or served as a consultant with the United States Institute of Peace, USAID, International Research & Exchange Board, Catholic Relief Services and Rotary International. He has received a number of fellowships and awards, including serving as a Fulbright Junior Scholar in Hungary for two years and as a National Security Education Program Fellow in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the African Peace and Conflict Journal and the Journal of Peacebuilding and Development and is the founder of the Peace and Collaborative Development Network (http://internationalpeaceandconflict.org) a online network connecting 10,000 professionals in the fields of peacebuliding and development.

hello Craig , this is the time for to draw close to you , while i am registered i started getting info from you , but ididn't have a time go through your profile , please i am happy , if you can imagine the small space where people can try to give a new vision of the new world , yes i know only jehovah have the power to transform the world , but can even trhough mind , influence the noty person to release the world with conflict and war.
there is one thing i want to share with , you know i am congolese , yes i travelled a lot , but now i am back in my country , but if see the main causes of the conflict in my country is the abondance welth on the groung and in the forest , the actor of the war and conflict in the multinational ( these groups of the rich people in world ) now how us as memmbers can say a lough voice no to spoloit and exploation of the welth others and creation of the conflict ?
