Dear Shyam,
many thanks for your good throughts on internal peace and ways to develop peaceful environment at individual level.

I am from Nepal, as you know that we in the peace process after a decade long armed conflict. We also need to think about social peace and harmony with an equitale and just society.
Threre are also some positive impacts of the past conflicts. To talk the positive dimension of the conflict one can point out the fact the armed conflict brought forth an assortment of social and political contradictions underneath our set up. The contradictions bedeviling the political, social and economic life of the country have to be resolved to lend impetus to the social, economic and political development of the country. As part of the bid to address the different aspects of the armed conflict and reconstruct the society into a new it is necessary that steps towards building sustainable peace have to be initiated.
We are exploring practical and sustainable approaches which addresses the root causes inequality that resulted the decade-long armed war and its consequences, that is why, the country is in process of transformation.
Looking forward to your thoughts and innovative approaches.

Hi Syam,
Greetings from Nairobi. I agree with you that most of conflict around the world are out of the bounderies that people create around them, boundaries across countries, boundaries around religious, tribal/ethnic, class/caste or gender lines. If only we each saw each other as what we really are...God's creation and to live with each other and our environment in peace and harmony.

I have just recently discovered the joy of yoga and meditation and am still learning.
All the best to you and your work.

yesterday (25 May 2009) I was travelling back to my home from my office in a public transport. The radio was broadcastiging news. The news contained the murder of a Sikh Guru in Austria and subsequent destruction and deaths in India. I heard tow passenger women talking about the incidents. They said the human beings are getting worse than the carnivorous animals as they do not kill their own species. They mentioned that the human being in the world are becoming "Demons". The talked about the demons and said that there is no real demons , its the people who are turning demons.

Is the world really turning into the habitat of those "demons" mentioned in old literatures???

I would like to add you as my friend and hope you would accept the invitation.

Thanks.
