Profile

What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
Human Rights is necessary in the pursuit of happiness and freedom. I am involved in the Depatment of Defense's mission to combat trafficking in person. This is my calling--my life work.

I retired from the Army in November 2006 and immediately started my civil service career and as an Intergovernmental Affairs Officer within the Defense Human Resources Activity, Law Enforcement Policy Support. I am also the Program Manager for implementing the Department of Defense’s program to combat Trafficking in Persons.

I am currently developing training modules that are based on realistic, military-related TIP scenarios. I am working with the Joint Staff, all the military services and defense agencies on tracking TIP awareness training and the understanding of TIP related policy and programs. I also work with defense agencies on including TIP in DoD post conflict, humanitarian aid, Peacekeeping, and Stability Operations. Additionally, I work with Defense Contractors whenever possible to put measures in place for contractor compliance with TIP.

I was involved in a DoD wide evaluation of efforts to combat TIP. I met with NGOs, Host Nation Law Enforcement and Embassy personnel in Japan, Korea, Germany, Italy, Bosnia and Kosovo.

That's fantastic Linda, I have considerable interest in human trafficking. Just returned from an interesting one year working experience in Nigeria. I coordinated a Europpean Commission funded project on the social and economic re-integration of some Nigerian women and teens; victims of trade in humans and sexual exploitation.
It was touching, but rewarding. I wouldn't mind sharing my experiences with you.

How r u? really i am very happy for that you have clearly send me mails about my english and about my skills. however, as i informed you that Sindhi Language is my mother tongue but english is not, that is why my english writting skills are much more weak than study becuase my around 70% study for any one subjects belongs from english and around 30% dependent in Sindhi and urdu. Dear Frayne, as told you before this that, i like to learn more from any where in wrold like writting and social managment skills becuase i am SINDHI and writting also in SINDHI becuase this is my mother tounge. if you like or you have any idea about abroad fellowship to improve my skills and ability then kindly infromed me ASAP.

thanks for you reply, now a days we (Lawyers) are busy in the movement of Rule of Law in Pakistan , and i am sure with the best wishes of you people we are able to restore our Judiciary in Pakistan. and we all are again ready to go to jail for this issue. ( I already spent 9 days in Jail during this movement against Army) thanks again for your wishes.
