Profile

What motivated you to become involved in peace and conflict resolution?
From my school days I had a great interest in working towards peace due to the prevailing war situation in the country. So I got involved in all sorts of related activities during school time & was a founder member of the Peace Society of my alma mater. By participating in Peace & Conflict Resolution workshops I got more motivated with the knowledge I obtained. Further in the University I got the opportunity to participate in a Workshop on Peace & Conflict Resolution in which I could meet University Students especially from the war-affected areas & to share experiences & exchange ideas with them. This made a great difference in my life & I got more motivated towards involving in peace related activities. With this I chose elective units on Peace & Conflict Resolution in the University to learn more about the subject. Following the workshop I got the opportunity to visit all war-affected areas in the country & to experience & to see the hardships undergone by the population living in those areas. Seeing the effects & impact of war by myself I thoroughly determined to be involved in peace & Conflict Resolution.
Please feel free to provide a short bio about yourself (no more than 3 paragraphs)
