very nice to receive your email. I am very new with these sort of forums, but look forward to learning from friend and expanding my knowledge and experiece in the areas of peace and transformation.
I am also very privilaged to have received you email because of your skill areas in training, evaluation, program design, particulary with the fund raising, advocacy, intervention and research expertise.
please include me in sharing your knowledge and experience.
I have just joined UN work (one year) and I feel there is so much to learn and also impart this to the community that I am serving and to a wider network of communities in Nepal.
once again thank you for your email and l look forward to communicating with you
regards,
Shanti
I recall from my time at DCI-Palestine that the DCI mandate is derived from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a convention to which just two countries are not signatories, Somalia and the United States. Just wondering how DCI might operate in the United States in light of this fundamental contradiction? Has US policy on this issue changed recently? I am admittedly pretty ignorant regarding DCI's work outside of Israel and Palestine, so I apologize if my question is a little elementary. I do think that the mission of DCI is pretty inspiring, and I would be fascinated to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Cheers
Bruce

I just saw your comment right now. I would be happy to communicate with you about my work in Somalia. Where and when have you worked there? And for whom? Where are you at present?

Your invitation to add as a friend is honouring and so fast that I did not even have time to upload anything much about me on the site.- being caught up in intense work here in Burundi. And I would always say yes in principle.
This time however, I want to invite you into my reality. I think this website is a great opportunity to link up professionally as well as personally and I would like to use it as such – Let’s take it one step beyond formality. And beyond the risk of superficiality, given the overwhelming effect of the many things we are doing and many people we are interacting with, want in our lives, need to learn from and with.
Please take a look at the postings I have made. If you get me as a friend, you may get a bigger portion than you might expect and I want you to be warned=:o)
Get back to me when you have a chance.
Your professional experience sounds impressive. Would like to hear some more details.
Sunshines from Bujumbura,
Ina
